International Workers’ Memorial Day
is to be held in Sheffield on Friday 26th April @ 12 noon at the Memorial Tree outside the Town Hall
The actual anniversary is declared as 28 April, but this falls on Sunday, so it was decided it would be better if the ceremony took place on the nearest weekday, hence Friday 26th.
The theme for 2024 is – CLIMATE RISKS for WORKERS
The event is organised & hosted by Sheffield TUC . There will be speakers and the laying of floral tributes around the tree.
Workers Memorial Day starts at 12noon; the report at 1pm and the presentations start at 1.30pm
