Hallam branch launch statutory ballot for industrial action over the university’s pay freeze.
Sheffield Hallam is the ONLY university in the Yorkshire and Humberside region instituting a pay freeze of the paltry 2.5% national award agreed by UCEA.
Members: What you need to do:
It’s a postal ballot and you can expect your ballot papers to begin arriving later this week, or the beginning of next.
The ballot will run from Tuesday 14th January to Wednesday 12th February. The last safe posting date will be Friday 7th February, so please return your papers as soon as they arrive.
This issue affects ALL members, so we ask you to vote YES in our ballot for local strike action.
The next branch meeting on Wednesday 15th January will have the latest update on the University’s response to our proposals on how to settle the dispute and there will be an opportunity for you to raise FAQS about the ballot and next steps.
