Members of Sheffield Hallam UCU voted decisively for industrial action as staff fight against job cuts and worsening working conditions. In the statutory ballot, 79% of participating staff backed strike action and 88% backed action short of a strike (ASOS), on a turnout of 54%.
Hallam UCU has officially notified the university of 12 days of strike action. Our strike dates are: 11th-13th and 17th-20th November, and 1st-5th December, 2025.
Our industrial action forms part of the newly launched union-led campaign Save Sheffield Hallam.
