As a union we are at our strongest when we take action together and so we would urge all our members to both take part in the upcoming industrial action (note the support that is available from national and local strike funds for those members who may be struggling financially) and to seek to recruit those colleagues not already part of the union.
Picketing will take place on every strike day 8.30am – 12 noon:
For City Campus, pickets will meet @ 8.30am outside Owen Building on Howard Square and disperse, numbers permitting, to other main buildings.
For Collegiate, the meeting point is outside Heart of the Campus and then disperse, numbers permitting.
- You are welcome at any time as are children, dogs, friends and family! Just come along when you can. You will be very welcome.
- You can picket any building: it doesn’t have to be where you work/where your office is.
- Picket Captains will have leaflets, placards, armbands, hi viz etc. but please bring your own too if you wish. Home-made placards with local messages are especially welcome.
