We only went and got the vote out!

In the recent “Four Fight” ballot for industrial action, 53.8% of members of UCU Hallam voted.  This means that we’ve passed the legal threshold for this ballot to count! A huge thank you to all the members who voted and to the officers and reps who texted, emailed and phoned.   You did it!

The results of the ballot were:

64.1% voted for strike action.
82.5% voted for action short of a strike.

If the national results don’t encourage UCEA to come to the negotiating table without us having to take some sort of action then we need to be prepared to act.  The branch committee need to hear from you.  What should action short of a strike be?  When should we strike if it comes to this and how long should it be? Your views will be fed back to UCU national to help shape the plans for coming action.

Please come to the special branch meeting on Wednesday 10th November 2021 at 12pm (Zoom link will be sent in email before meeting) and have your say.
